The NC-Robot transports workpieces from die stage to die stage in a press. While being transported, the workpieces are held by special grippers, that are mounted on gripper bars and adapted to size and shape of the workpieces. The parts flow is synchronous with the cycle of the press ram. The NC-Robot is characterized by its flexibility, the ease of use and short changeover times. These features make it especially suitable for the production of small lots, that require a frequent changeover.
Each axis is operated by ballscrew with high accuracy.
The feed unit and all the grip/lift units are driven by AC servomotors, which are flanged to the housings of the units. High performance motion control and AC servo motor with brake are used. All axis will stop by the brake for safety if the power is shut down suddenly or if the servo system overload.
To protect tooling and machine, the misfeed detecting circuit is provided as a standard accessory.
